new blog

I have been asked by various people to start a blog on my website. This doesn’t strike me as being particularly easy. The blog needs to have an engaging beginning and keep you interested until the end. You don’t want a blog topic to become an overly didactic missive or get bogged down in long-winded stories. Enough reasons, therefore, not to do it, but I do see things around me that are sources of witticisms, brain teasers or wisdom. Reason enough, therefore, to write about a reflection, an ‘aha moment’ or an item from my personal library each month.
In each blog, I will also deal with a planting situation or simply select an annual, biennial, perennial plant, shrub or tree, partly because half of the success of a good garden depends on how the planting is chosen and applied.
